KNOXVILLE AREA TRANSIT (KAT)

KAT is the City of Knoxville's transit system, operating buses, and paratransit service across the city.

The trolley system has been replaced by KAT Reimagined. The KAT Reimagined bus network features 20 fixed routes, bringing more than 94,000 Knoxville residents within a quarter-mile walk of a bus stop.
 

This system-wide redesign is focused on providing consistent and frequent service across the city, with routes operating seven days a week.

DOWNTOWN KNOXVILLE PARKING OPTIONS

Downtown Knoxville offers an array of parking options, paid and/or free parking depending on the area.

There are three main lots closest to the convention center for parking:

Locust Street Parking Garage

• The Locust Street Parking Garage is a short walk across the Sky Bridge to the Knoxville Convention Center. Points of entry are on Locust Street and Walnut Street. There is free parking weeknights when entering after 6pm, and free parking all weekend. Week day rates are $1/hour and $7 max/day.

Langley Garage

• Located three blocks from the Knoxville Convention Center with points of entry on Locust and Walnut Street.

Main Avenue Garage

• Located three blocks from the Knoxville Convention Center with points of entry on Locust Street, and Hill Avenue.
